Burt’s Bees
The iconoclasts who founded Burt’s Bees over four decades ago believed in doing things better, long before “sustainability” became a branding buzzword. The brand tapped SMAKK Studios to overhaul its digital identity to make sure that its commitment to better ingredients and business practices would resonate with a new generation of conscious consumers. I created an extensive digital tone of voice guideline for Burt’s Bees, defining how to speak across web, social, newsletters, and SMS. I also wrote copy for the redesigned site, including homepage, about us, and product page copy, plus welcome, transactional, and win-back emails. See more about the project here.
